Expense tracking in Telegram: who it suits and how to start

Who expense tracking in a Telegram Mini App suits, how it is faster than a spreadsheet, and how to log the first expense in a minute.

Expense tracking in Telegram suits people who already live in the messenger and quit the spreadsheet in week two. You need a screen with wallets, categories, and budget inside the client — not a chat where you type “cafe 18” and hope a command is recognized. Ladno is a Mini App: open the bot, tap the app button, and log an expense.

Who it suits

It suits you if Telegram is already open on the way to work and at the checkout, and you install a separate app and forget it. You do not need your own home-screen icon and you do not need bank sync if you keep manual books on purpose. It does not suit you if you need automatic statement import: Ladno does not promise that.

This is not a command chat bot

A command chat bot is a conversation: amount, category, and a text reply. A Mini App is a separate screen: several wallets, subcategories, transfers between your own accounts, monthly budgets, debts, history with filters, and reports. The main gesture is to press and hold a wallet and drag it to a category, then amount and save. The money route stays on screen. The bot opens the app; tracking does not happen in the message feed.

Example week

Monday: groceries 64, logged right at the checkout, category “food at home.” Tuesday and Thursday: transit 2 each. Friday: cafe 18 — cafe limit 200, the screen shows “spent / left,” not only card balance. Over the week, not a single forgotten “I’ll sort it out tonight” line appeared. If you run a full month, start with family budget for the month.

Free and Pro

Personal tracking within the limits is Free. Family and higher limits are Pro for Telegram Stars. There is no separate free month.

First expense

  1. Open @ladnomoneybot and press Start
  2. Open the Mini App
  3. Press and hold a wallet, drag to a category, enter the amount, and save

Where to start

Open @ladnomoneybot and log the first expense while the receipt is still in hand. With money — alright.
